For the biogas plants

RP ensures a constant supply of biomass for biogas plants by efficiently managing animal manure, which serves both as biofuel and organic fertilizer.

Why they need it?

  • CONSTANT SUPPLY: EU’s biomass projected demand expected to be 40-100% higher than what is sustainably available, what leads to feedstock scarcity. On other hand, there are surpluses of animal manure and more strict rules for farming, which limits its use as organic fertiliser. While, manure is an very efficient resource for biofuel production and it effectivness of use can be event extended with dual use: first as biomass for biogas production, and secondly as organic fertilisers in farming, that can be obtained from digestate that remains after biogas production. Additionally, this biomass do not has seasonal fluctuation. This is how Reusing Platform can ensure constant supply of feedstock from animal manure to the biogas plant.
  • AGREED COMPOSITION: The efficiency and effectiveness of anaerobic digestion of converting organic matter into biogas depend on the quality and type of feedstock. Reusing Platform processes manure into several fractions, that improve feedstock quality and give an opportunity to make adjustments to it in accordance with the agreed content which is needed for biogas production.
  • EFFICIENT LAND USE: no need for storage areas, as the technology supplies the necessary volumes for biogas production daily or according to biogas needs. This way, the biogas plant does not need to store feedstock on its premises, as long or unsecure storage negatively affects the sanitary conditions and quality of the feedstock. Moreover, it affects overall land use in the context of environmental issues like influence on biodiversity and soil exploitation.
  • BIOMASS SCALING OPPORTUNITIES: Reusing Platform in 1st version works with cattle and horse manure, but in the following versions it will also expand to other types of manure from other commercial animals and other types of organic waste that can be obtained from farms. This way, if a biogas plant has plans for production growth, EHOSS will meet its feedstock requirements.
  • DELIVERY MANAGEMENT: EHOSS transportation ensures needed volumes are delivered on time with an IoT transportation system, that helps to plan logistics cost-effectively.
